πŸš€ This Week's Amazon Hack: Lessons From $100 Million Sold On Amazon

$100 million sold on Amazon ($10M from myself and the rest from coaching clients) taught me what works and what doesn't.

Some of this advice might trigger you, but maybe it was the medicine you needed to hear today.
​
​#1: Use Vine reviews.​
​
Yes, I just said it. I see way too many haters on here, but the reality is that they average .5 stars higher on average than organic reviews. I recommend using Vine for ALL product launches, assuming you're selling an extremely high-quality product.
​
​#2: Turn ads on Day 1. ​
​
Yes, even at zero reviews. Ads are so incredibly efficient on Amazon now that countless people will buy even if you don't have any reviews. Let your media assets shine here.
​
Also, you have to look at this as a marketing cost to help people find you.
​
Once you turn ads on, you will never turn them off. At peak, I was spending over $1 million a year on Amazon ads. If I hadn't sold my business in 2019, I would be spending $5 million by now. EASILY.
​
P.S. Turning ads on creates a beautiful HALO effect across your other products. Many people deny this, but it's true. More ads, more priority.
​
​#3: Inserts matter. ​
​
How does a 5-10% review rate sound? And what if I told you that if done well, this review rate will go on forever? Thought so. But don't try to play games here. no IF/THEN statements or 25% discount code bribes. Just ask for a review and make it convenient. It's really that simple.
​
​#4: Break Amazon's image rules. ​
​
Yes, break the rules. Be naughty. Heck, be reckless. Why? Amazon cares more about sales than about whether you follow their rules to the T.
​
A good example is Utopia Bedding. Look at their hero images for things like pillows and towels. Notice their fancy little labels with cute threads? Those are FAKE. Customers never see them in person. And they convert like black magic!
​
​#5: 100% reliance on Amazon is dead. ​
​
There, I said it. It's deader than dead. It's lifeless. Rotten. Lower than dirt.
​
Elite brands have embraced the golden trifecta: TikTok, Walmart, and Shopify.
​
TikTok is your discovery weapon. Walmart has millions of customers who aren't on Amazon. And Shopify, well, is your trust vehicle. Notice how I didn't mention meta ads? They are trash. Don't even bother. Nail this trifecta, and you will be ahead of 99% of Amazon sellers.

That's a wrap.

Now, it's your turn. You can choose to live life on Hard Mode or start thriving.

FYI, this list could easily be 1,000 line items deep, but for the sake of both mine and your sanity, I kept it short and sweet.

In 2026, you need to evolve, sell smarter, and predict with laser accuracy. The next decade will make or break a TON of 3P sellers. I want you to be at the top of the pack. 🫑

It was a very quiet week for Amazon news, which is kind of eerie if I'm being honest. Kind of feels like the calm before the storm with all the AI drama going on right now.

Amazon's quarterly earnings report came out, and it's mind-boggling. And of course, 3P sellers are the sacrificial lamb like always.

Here is my breakdown:

πŸš€ 10% YOY growth of Amazon online sales.

πŸ₯• Whole Foods grew by 5% (I contributed to this!)
​
πŸ“¦ Amazon continues to make a killing from 3rd-party sellers, with growth of 11% YOY. OUCH!
​
🀯 Amazon's ad revenue grew by a whopping 23%. This will only get worse for 3P sellers if Walmart does not start upping its game on this front. Sellers are unbelievably hungry for cheaper PPC bids!
​
πŸ€– AWS continues to explode at 24% YOY. Remember, this is just inning 1 of the AI race. Expect this number to rise exponentially in the coming years with the news of a $38 billion deal with OpenAI...

All this and drones have yet to launch. Amazon is still an infant. Don't come at me. You know it's true.

In summary, there are three things that are certain in life: death, taxes, and Amazon fees. 🫑
