🚀 This Week's Amazon Hack: Start Leveraging Social Posts

When I'm consulting Amazon sellers, one of the top questions I ask them is if they have been regularly publishing social posts. 99% of the time, the answer is "No, what are those?"

Here's an example from Goli:

As you can see, these are nestled under your "Posts" section on your Storefront page. if you head on over to Goli's page, you will see a steady stream of social posts with smartly worded highlights.

This is a slam dunk method for bringing in an obscene amount of impressions to your listings for FREE. not only do social posts index but the keyword-rich data feeds Rufus and helps Amazon recommend you more often. This just might be the most underrated growth hack of 2025.

I have yet to see a single brand owner who regrets posting aggressively. You will see your impressions go up and as a result, sales go up. Did I mention that it's free? It's free for now but we all know that will change someday.

Another way to look at this is to drive people to product listings of your choosing. Let's say that you launched a new supplement line but you find yourself stuck at 75 reviews. Leverage social posts and heavily market this listing.

Some recommend a pretty insane cadence like 3-5 posts per day but that's overkill. Be strategic with your posts and ensure one has a mission. Start at one post per day and go from there.

Just kidding, it sucks. We all hate it but it's our reality.

The next 30 days are going to be a dramatic shift for sellers. This will serve as a summary update instead of individual posts.

✅ Change 1: AWD fees are going up on April 1. Shock of all shocks!
​
Storage Fee Hike: The base storage rate will jump from $0.48 to $0.56 per cubic foot—a 16.7% increase. Even with the “Smart Storage” discount (now upped to 15% from 10%), the effective rate rises from $0.43 to $0.48 per cubic foot. 🤯

Processing Fees Split: AWD processing fees will now be separated into inbound ($0.47-$0.81 per unit) and outbound ($0.18-$0.61 per unit) charges, replacing the previous combined fee of $0.65-$1.42. This shift will raise costs depending on your shipment patterns.

✅ Change 2: Starting March 30, Amazon will only reimburse you for your sourcing cost. The days of being reimbursed for your retail value are over. If you don't submit your sourcing costs to Amazon, they will do it for you and you don't want that! If your sourcing cost is $1.50, Amazon will gladly "guess" your sourcing cost at $0.99.

✅ Change 3: Any and all agencies and service providers must sign up for SPP to ensure they don't lose access to their client accounts. The deadline is April 10. Amazon is saying that this is all about ensuring security for sellers but we all know what it is: another power grab.

🤯 Get your seatbelt on because I feel like this is just the beginning of a wild rollercoaster in 2025. I bet we see even more disruptive changes this year that negatively affect 3P sellers.
