πŸ₯³ Finally! A Simple Solution to Manage Your Inventory

Inventory management has always been a thorn in the flesh for brands. Amazon deserves credit for this, and not in a good way.

Ordoro has cracked the code. They have launched a new software that syncs all your FBA, FBM, Walmart, and Shopify inventory in the same interface. It’s dreamy.

Not only is all your inventory data stored in a single location, but Ordoro allows you to do so much more:

- Built-in FBA support allows you to create FBA shipments and manage MCF orders.

- Shipping automation tools to reduce fulfillment time.

- Create virtual bundles on the fly without logging into Amazon Seller Central.

- Full integration with AWD. Hello, inventory centralization!

- Finally, fulfill non-Amazon Shopify orders without being tied to FBA.

- Discounted USPS and UPS rates with ZERO volume requirements.

A new era of inventory management is here. What are you waiting for?

πŸš€ This Week's Amazon Hack: This Prime Day, Be Tactical

I really miss the good old days when it made sense to discount your entire catalog on Amazon. Those days are obviously long gone.

Pair an international trade war with Amazon turning its inventory management into rocket science, and you have yourself a virtual tornado.

It's a wild time to be alive, but what I want you to try and do the rest of the year is avoid the noise from social media and the news. I want you to stay focused and remain strategic. People who will get bogged down by all the negativity will have their vision clouded.

Prime Day is coming up in mid-July, and you have some VERY difficult decisions to make. I want to make that a little bit easier for you today.

Here is my exact framework that I'm recommending for my readers and consulting clients in 2025:

1- ASIN Selection

Be surgical this year! The name of the game is heroes this year! If I were you, I would cancel your PD deals for middle and lower tier volume movers and select your hero products only. The only exception is if you want to move some stale inventory or end-of-life products.

Another angle you can take is to select a product to run a deal if you need a BSR boost or review count to go up. This would be a great time to do that. Remember, Prime Day is not about profit. It's about metrics.

2- Know Thy Dates

You're going to see all kinds of advice out there, but I will ALWAYS tell you to lean conservative for Prime Day. June 9 is the cutoff date for minimal FBA shipment splits. June 18 is the cutoff for Amazon-optimized shipment splits. NEVER, I repeat, never trust Amazon's published dates. Instead, do what I've always done. Get your stuff to Amazon 21 days early. Yes, you read that right. This means that you will need to firm up your sea bookings next week.

3- Forecasting

I like to keep things simple in terms of forecating. Some napkin math. This year's Prime Day event is now 4 days instead of two. Between the trade war with China and general uncertainty, I would take last year's Prime Day sales and multiply by 1.2-1.5. I really doubt we will see 2x growth this time around. The world has changed, and Amazon is really regretting extending the Prime Day window. That's your sign to be conservative.

4- Boost AOV

You might remember one of my recent newsletters about premium bundles. Between an actual physical bundle and virtual bundles, you need to pull the trigger on this and get them live and optimized way before Prime Day. Virtual is even more important since they actually track unique reviews, so get the review count up past 100 ASAP.

5- Ads for Dummies

I'm actually not a big fan of daily bid adjustments for Prime Day. My recommendation here is similar to past years. Bump up your total ad budget by 3-5x and let her rip! Just don't make the mistake of reducing your ad budget completely after Day 4. There is a TON of spillover that happens 7 days after Prime Day. Slowly reduce it over the 7 days instead.

Some Housekeeping

Many of you source your products in America. This is your time to shine and leverage Prime Day to get in front of millions of customers. Slap that big beautiful flag on your hero image, A+, and storefront! Don't be shy!

Do an audit of ALL your creatives. For many of you, it's one of the last things you touch because there is just so much other stuff going on that is critical to your business. I get it. But it needs to get done. When was the last time you AB tested your hero image? I thought so. It's OK, many are in the same boat. You won't regret it. This Prime Day is all about perfection. No stone left unturned!

At the end of the day, it's a fine balance between boosting your metrics and protecting your bottom line. Know your numbers and don't overcommit. It's us vs. Amazon. Plan accordingly.

πŸ”₯ Hot Amazon Seller News: Amazon Launches New Conversion Killer

If you were expecting some good news this morning, I'm sorry to disappoint you. It's more bad news for all of us.

Amazon just rolled out a new "Frequently Returned" badge, and guess what? Amazon decided to place it above the fold. How much above the fold, you ask? Like it's one of the very first things customers see.

If your listing gets slapped with this badge, prepare for the worst scenario possible. Plummeting conversion rates thanks to an ominous red badge that turns people off. I have seen some listings go from a 15% conversion rate to sub-5%. It's not pretty. The bright red doesn't help either!

There is "some" good news, though. So far, the badge is only showing for affected variations, so if you have a problem child, go ahead and turn off PPC for the variations that have the badge.

I also think this might be a temporary badge since Amazon is testing it across their site on select 3P sellers. Who knows, it might not stick.

One last tip. Even if you have not seen this badge show up on your listings, audit your reviews, owner manual, and physical packaging! Make sure that you are keeping your customers happy AND providing clarity. No more playing games with your hero image and the actual item arriving looking totally different.

Have you seen this badge on your listings? If so, have you seen a dramatic impact?

πŸ’°THE Amazon Reimbursements G.O.A.T. The fact is, Amazon already knows exactly how much it owes β€” but it won’t pay up without a fight. It's frustrating wasting countless months battling their so-called β€œsupport” teams and ever-changing policies. With shrinking profit margins, it’s critical to find the best reimbursement solution.
