Look, this topic has been on my mind for quite some time, so today is a bit unhinged right before Christmas. You just gotta stop it. Stop listing out all the "features" of your product and start hammering the transformations. Here are some examples: BAD: "Our creatine gummies have 7mg of lab-tested creatine." GOOD: "Start growing muscles like a bodybuilder." -- BAD: "Our tree straps can hold 1,000 lbs." GOOD: "Start building memories with your kids and stop worrying about injuries." -- BAD: "Our collagen cream has a skin-friendly PH of 6." GOOD: "Start making Gen Z wonder if you're still in college." -- Do you see what I did there? Drowning customers in data and features might sound good to you and me, but to the average person, it's annoying. They want to see their future self be transformed. They want to see results. I cover this with clients on a regular basis. It's not uncommon to redo most of their images because they are harping on the wrong things. Ultimately, we are talking about psychology. And guess what? 99% of your competitors will struggle to understand this marketing strategy. I say let them struggle as you enjoy a 25% conversion rate boost with a simple image tweak. For some of you, this means changing much more, including your A+ content and videos. The ROI for this work going into 2026 will be through the roof. Trust me. Customers are simply trying to solve problems. Solve them for them and give your product to them on a silver platter. I like to simplify this on client calls even further. Ask yourself this question: Do you want to see a list of the top ten features or a lifestyle picture showcasing how the product will improve your life? You know the answer. I will say this, though. Please do not read this and think that I'm telling you to never mention your top features anywhere on your listings. It's quite the opposite! Definitely include them! But they should take a back seat to showcasing the solution. Customers are in the mud. Your job is to get them showered and walking on steady ground as humanly possible. Your branding better aligns with this, or you will keep asking yourself why your growth feels stagnant. 🔥 Hot Amazon Seller News: I'm Going to Cry Yes, I actually might. Amazon just announced that they are actively AB testing select listings and pausing review sharing for variations. If you are crying right now, I get it. It's a sad day. And I think we all know what happens next. These AB tests end up becoming our new reality in a matter of months. Amazon moves fast, and my money is on Amazon rolling this out in Q1 of 2026. But I don't want you to be surprised. New child variations no longer share the reviews with the parent. If you have 1,000 reviews on your listing and launch a new child variation, say, a color, this new listing will have ZERO reviews. This obviously will dramatically impact advertising ACoS. In other words, get ready to stop relying on high-performing parents to lift up your new child variations. Those days are coming to an end. Now, what this means is that you will have to do a deep audit of your listings and address any QC issues. There will be no hiding behind your volume-driving variations anymore. Amazon wants to increase transparency here, and that is exactly what it will do. Honestly, I had a feeling this day would come. Now, we all have to adapt and work harder than ever. 🎄Merry Christmas.
