🚀 This Week's Amazon Hack: Don't Skip This

I know you're incredibly busy right now so I'm going to cover three CRUCIAL tips you need to consider if you want to smash your 2023 Black Friday record.

Some of these might make you feel uncomfortable or even a bit guilty. Stop that right now. This is a free market and you have freedom to make changes as you see fit.

  1. Raise prices. Yup, you read that right. As we go into Black Friday and Cyber Monday, if you're not raising your prices across the board, you are losing out on serious money. Americans are somewhat price blind during the next 30 days. Higher prices are that much more important if you are running low on stock thanks to the West Coast FBA congestion issues... This is also a wonderful time to sell through stale inventory while the iron is hot.
  2. 3-5x your PPC budgets. Sellers who refuse to do this or forget to do it always regret it. This is not a time for the timid. Be aggressive and capture as much of the pie as you can. This is critically important for those of you running deals this week. More visibility means more sales. And don't forget about the "halo effect" going into December. If you juice your BSR now, this will translate into a surge in organic sales in the following four weeks. Monitor your budgets daily though. There's a fine balance between optimized advertising and absolute chaos.
  3. Break some rules. The next 30 days will be historic. Amazon has two types of rules: rules on paper and rules they actually enforce. Stop being paranoid about adding fun elements to your hero image. Be bold and break some rules. 99.99% of the time, they won't do anything. The reason is that sexier images drive up sales which makes Amazon happy. If your product has flavors, include the actual flavor image! Create does a good job with their creatine gummies. You'll see apples, oranges, and raspberries in their hero images. Totally against the rules but Amazon turns a blind eye. I cannot stress this enough, making your conversion rate a priority is paramount this Q4.

Be bold going into Black Friday. America is hungry for deals and quality products so give it to them.


🔥 Hot Amazon Seller News: And the Heavens Rejoiced!

Christmas most definitely came early. A big round of applause for Walmart, TikTok Shop, and Temu. This is how the free market system should work. No government intervention was necessary.

Heck, after this announcement, I bet we will see a fee REDUCTION in 2026 for Amazon to stay competitive.

Let's dive into the weeds a bit. Everyone was popping champagne with the news that Amazon wasn't going to raise FBA or referral fees in 2025. It's so much better than that.

📦 Lower fees for bulky items! I'm looking at you, furniture sellers! You’ll see a reduction of $0.58 per unit on inbound placement service fees for minimally split shipments starting January 15, 2025.

🤑 Fee waivers for new products. Yes, you read that right. Amazon is making it even more attractive to launch your new products on their platform. To entice you to stay, they are offering to waive the inbound placement fee for your first 100 units under the FBA New Selection Program. I'll take it!

😎 Invite-only discounts for growth. If you have a rockstar listing that has insanely high demand, get ready for some VERY STEEP discounts in January 2025. I'll keep you updated as more info comes out next month.

🛠 Smarter tools. As if the AI announcements weren't exciting enough, Amazon also announced that they are planning to give their fee calculators and inbound shipping tools a much-needed steroid boost.

This news is obviously a breath of fresh air. You could hear the sigh of relief from around the world. As good as this news is, there is much work to do in terms of adapting to all the fee structure changes, inventory placement, and AWD migraines.
