Today isn't really a growth hack but a deep dive into the very exciting Amazon news that 2025 FBA and referral fees will be frozen.

Yes, you read that right. Amazon has promised to not increase its fees in 2025. And it gets even better than that. Some fees are going down!

Before we dive in, I would like for all of us to give Walmart a round of "virtual applause" for blessing us with this news. It's not a secret that Walmart has been quietly chipping away at Amazon's online dominance. I'm sure you have seen me post about them in the past. They have seen the wreckage Amazon has left behind in the seller community and they have done a good job of selling themselves as the "savior" of the 3P world.

Capitalism thrives with competition. More successful platforms translate to lower fees for third-party sellers.

πŸ“¦ Lower fees for bulky items! I'm looking at you, furniture sellers! You’ll see a reduction of $0.58 per unit on inbound placement service fees for minimally split shipments starting January 15, 2025.

Amazon has "clarified" (more like totally revamped!) the rules for custom bundles. With VERY LOUD feedback from sellers, they've given the Consumables Bundling Policy a makeover because the old rules were, let's say, a bit too arduous. You can feel the fury of resellers through social media!

Repackage with a Pass: Fancy repackaging? You'll need a special permission slip, aka a Letter of Authorization from the brand owner. And remember, all items must be from the same brand family!

Gift Basket Gala: Good news for gift baskets! You can mix brands, but it has to be gift-ready. I expect Amazon to further clarify what "gift-ready" means to them...
