๐Ÿš€ This Week's Amazon Hack: Prime Day is Here! Now what?

First off, Happy Prime Day to those who celebrate!

To those of you who held the line and kept your deals alive in the face of a historic trade war, disrespectful fee increases from Amazon, and unprecedented competition from both DTC brands and Chinese sellers, WAY TO GO! Ya'll are a gritty bunch. Your patience paid off.

The question now is "what's next".

Honestly, just relax. The bulk of your work was done leading up until today, so now there are only a few things you need to worry about.

1- PPC budgets. Watch them closely and be ready to increase your spending cap even more. For some of you, your sweet spot today will be 3x, but for others, you will have to increase this to 5x. And don't stress about the spend. This is a golden window of opportunity to maximize brand awareness. Yes, that costs money.

2- Respond to your customers quickly! I know it's a royal pain, but make sure you are responding to each and every email today. It's going to be a tsunami of emails. People will be reaching out with strange questions, shipping questions, deal questions, and product questions. Watch your inbox CLOSELY.

3- Be one step ahead. Create remarketing ad campaigns to target those stubborn customers who browse but never buy on Prime Day. Don't give up on them. A large percentage of them just need an extra "push." Also, make sure you don't forget to turn off event-specific campaigns.

4- Don't forget about your social media and DTC website. Make sure your pop-up is working on your website to capture their email addresses. To clarify, this is the typical pop-up that you need on pretty much any website you browse on. Offer a generous percentage off for a first-time purchase. There will be a HUGE number of people who see your stuff on Amazon but will purchase from your website instead. I know, it doesn't make sense.

5- Off-Amazon messaging on point. I'm talking about your Shopify email list and social media. Over the next few days, blast out your Prime Day messaging and make sure literally every person knows about your Prime Day Deals. Don't be shy.

The overall message today is don't let your foot off the pedal. Prime Day was never about profit. Prime Day has always been about brand awareness, review accumulation, and BSR improvement.
