He's paranoid, unsure, and frustrated as he sees his competition bring in hundreds of new reviews on a regular basis. The good news is that there is a WAY! If you have been a reader of this newsletter for a while, you'll know that I never recommend any tactics that are black hat. That will never change. Today, I'm going to walk you through a simple framework to get a steady stream of organic reviews indefinitely. The best part? You will never be at risk of an account suspension for cheating! Low Hanging Fruit 1- Stop being scared and start including an insert card in your product. Amazon loves it when you do this THE RIGHT WAY. Resist the urge to manipulate the customer with"smart language." Instead, just ask for a review and share a bit about your brand story. leverage what makes you different and trust the customer to do the rest. This alone will result in a 5-7% review rate. 2- Start using FeedbackWhiz to automate emails to each and every customer. The entire goal of these emails is to ask for a review. Stay compliant with your wording and send these out 10 days post delivery. Simple and effective. 3- Turn PPC on from day 1. I might be some nasty grams for this but it's reality. Even at zero reviews, you should have your ads turned on. Let your incredible images do the heavy lifting. Paired with my other tactics, this traffic results in new customers early on, and as a result, you get a boost in reviews. Higher Effort Tactics: 1- Leverage Vine reviews. Amazon still allows you to launch multiple child variations of the same product and sign each up for Vine. Once they all come in, merge them all under one parent listing. Use this today because my prediction is that this will go away in 2026! 2- Leverage influencers. If you're looking for reviews and ranking, today's sponsor, Stack Influence is a great answer to that problem. If you're more inclined to go down the DIY road, I would partner with 10-20 influencers who you find on your own. This should go from sending free products to fostering a long-term relationship with them. Long gone are the days when it was just DTC brands leveraging influencers. My wife will attest to this. Half of her IG feed is her favorite influencer recommending products "they have found" on Amazon. 3- Leverage email. Seriously, stop neglecting this critical part of your business. They willingly stay subscribed to your email list. Start marketing to them! Have a new product launching on Amazon? Send them multiple emails asking them to buy your product and leave a review. Have a unique Deal running on Amazon? Email them to let them know! I could go on and on but I think you get what I'm saying. After reading this, there is just no excuse for low review counts. If you're still confused or want more targeted advice on this, feel free to book a discovery call with me and we can dive deeper. 🔥 Hot Amazon Seller News: Amazon's New Sneaky Fee I have this theory that Amazon executives laugh at 3P sellers each time fees go up after making the big PR announcement that 2025 will have zero new fees. Sellers aren't laughing. Amazon quietly rolled this one out while everyone was sleeping. Say goodbye to partial shipment splits for standard-size products. What's really frustrating about this is that this was a handy way for sellers to save some coin. Amazon can't have that! Starting February 20, partial shipment splits for standard-size products are no more. This allowed sellers, especially smaller sellers, to send inventory to fewer inbound locations than the Amazon-optimized shipment split at a reduced fee. It's truly a gut punch. Alternative Options What now? well, you still have the option to use the Minimal Shipment Split which involves a fee to send your FBA inventory to the fewest possible locations. Another option is to send your stuff in using the Amazon-Optimized Shipment Splits selection which sends your inventory to multiple locations at no fee. To use this one, you need to have your act together and be on the same page with your prep warehouse. Big Picture Two things are in play.
When Amazon zigs, you should zag. there is no option other than to adapt and adapt FAST! Also, this means that having plenty of profit margin to play with will be more important than ever. When I'm coaching Amazon sellers, I always remind them that maintaining 20-25% net profit is extremely important in 2025. You never know when you will need to tap into it.
