πŸš€ This Week's Amazon Hack: Act Now or Risk Giving Amazon a Massive Paycheck

I decided to condense the "hack of the week" with "hot Amazon news of the week" for two reasons. One, I have the flu and now my wife now has it as well. To be honest, it has been really rough over here! My wife is a gem of a woman and she gently reminded me that things could be worse and that we should remain thankful. She has a point. She knows someone who is going through cancer and it's not looking good. There is always something to be thankful for.

Secondly, Amazon did something so unbelievably not cool that it deserved a dedicated newsletter. Amazon Insiders is dedicated to helping you win on Amazon and today is no exception.

I'm sure you just cringed. I know, I did too. So, what happened?

Like always, Amazon just shook up the place. Again.

Historically, you have always had 18 months to audit and file reimbursement claims for lost, damaged, and customer-returned items.

Starting October 23, that gets squeezed down to a measly 60 days. Surprise! 😠

Some saw this news and started screaming that this was the end of third-party reimbursement software. Utter nonsense. using software like GETIDA is going to be more important than ever.

Let me ask you something. How has your trust level with Amazon been lately? Thought so.

It's all in their fine print.

From Amazon:

"Almost all reimbursement claims related to warehouse lost and damaged and customer returns cases will be now proactively reimbursed. However, if you do not receive an automatic reimbursement and you believe that your inventory has been lost or damaged, you will need to file a manual claim."

Translation: At Amazon, we're a massive corporation and will most definitely make mistakes. If we mess up, you are on the hook. Good luck.

Solution? If you're already using GETIDA, you have nothing to worry about. If that's not you, then it's time to sign up and make sure the last 18 months of your account get cleaned up and all dollars owed to you are finalized before the October 23 deadline.
